The Association of People with Disability is a non-governmental organisation devoted to empowering people with disabilities to
live full, productive lives.
Since its founding in 1959, we have worked tirelessly to make it possible for people with disabilities (PWDs) to fully participate in all
aspects of society, including but not limited to interventions in healthcare, education, employment, and advocacy.
From our headquarters in Bangalore, we administer programmes across urban and rural South India and state of Maharashtra,
serving people of all ages who suffer from a wide variety of physical and mental disabilities.
APD's approach to supporting Persons with Disbilities is distinct, offering tailored services based on the type and severity of
disability, as well as specific program goals. Utilizing both Institution-based Rehabilitation (IBR) and Community-based
Rehabilitation (CBR) models, APD ensures that all beneficiaries and their caregivers receive comprehensive training,
rehabilitation, and therapy from a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, custom-made prosthetic and mobility aids are produced in-
house to meet individual needs. APD works closely with various service providers and government bodies to deliver these
essential services to beneficiaries in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas.
We have touched more than one million lives since our inception, last year alone impacted more than 5 lakh lives.

Greensole Foundation is a social enterprise dedicated to sustainability, circular economy, and community upliftment. We upcycle discarded footwear and materials into comfortable slippers, bags, mats, and school kits which are then distributed to underprivileged children across India. Alongside our recycling initiatives, we run Skill Development Centres that empower women and youth with livelihood opportunities. Every year, three lakh wheelchairs are sold in India, of which two and half lakh are imported. 95% of all wheelchairs sold in India are one-size-fits-all. They restrict mobility, damage health, and lower self-confidence. Few wheelchair users can safely and independently transfer into tricycles and modified scooters. How can we expect the majority of wheelchair users to go outdoors? NeoMotion is here to transform this ! .
NeoMotion, an IIT Madras startup, creates transformative products for wheelchair users (elderly, physically challenged) to enable them to be an inclusive part of society. NeoMotion works with NGOs, Foundation and CSR bodies to implement impactful projects in the space of Disability. The projects are majorly looking to achieve the SDG10 Goal of Reduced Inequalities. While the end-beneficairy is a person with disability, the impact thematic areas also encompass Education, Livelihood and Para-Sports. NeoMotion was recently featured on the popular show SHARK TANK INDIA The initial products developed by NeoMotion are - NeoFly is a personalized wheelchair designed to enhance health and lifestyle. 18 customizations ensure a perfect fit to the user’s body. NeoFly covers three to five times more distance for every push. A 30% smaller footprint enhances accessibility of narrow spaces like small lifts, small toilets.
NeoBolt is a motor-powered clip-on which converts NeoFly into a safe, roadworthy vehicle. It is designed to enable wheelchair users to go out into the world, explore life, get employed and have fun! NeoBolt eliminates the need to transfer into other vehicles and can be independently attached by the user within seconds. It has a maximum speed of 25 kmph and travels up to 25 km per charge. NeoBolt can be safely used on uneven terrains. It will empower wheelchair users with a low-cost mode of outdoor mobility when compared to cars, auto-rickshaw or modified scooters.
Sistema.bio is a global social enterprise that provides access to innovative biodigester technology, training and financing to address the challenges of poverty, food security, and climate change. They manufacture and distribute high-quality, affordable biodigesters that enable farmers to convert waste into renewable energy and organic fertilizer. Working together with farmers worldwide, Sistema.bio delivers high quality carbon mitigation, sequestration and climate change adaptation programs. Sistema.bio works with small-holder farmers all over the world to reduce their carbon footprint, make them more productive and more efficient and create a healthier sustainable environment on their farms.
Sistema.bio was founded in 2010 in Central Mexico after five years of research and development on their technology and business model. The rich agricultural culture and wide variety of climate and socio-economic conditions in which they were born created a robust technology and business model that could scale to serve smallholder farms around the world. Founded in 2010 in Central Mexico after 13 years of operations, Sistema.bio is now working in over 1,48,000+ farms in 35+ countries around the world, with the potential to bring clean energy and sustainable agricultural practices to 100M farmers on over 15% of the world’s farmland. In line with the global Climate agenda, Sistema.bio has committed to Impact over 1.5M people (290K farms) with their technology by 2025, leading to 5M tons of reduced GHG emissions and the creation of over USD$100M in net positive economic benefits in rural economies; and by 2030 its goal is to reduce 1% of annual global GHG emissions
From operational hubs and field offices in Latin America, East Africa and Asia, Sistema.bio’s team engages directly with farmers and local farmer networks to promote sustainable farming in local languages, with local leaders and under local conditions. Sistema.bio is currently offering direct sales around local field offices in Mexico, Colombia, Kenya and India, as well as other countries through their partnerships.
